Are you getting blank pages when you search Google with Chrome? You’re not the only one. Right now, large numbers of users from across the world are having issues doing Google search from the omnibox (address bar) in Chrome. Users are being redirected to a blank page for all searches and no results are displayed.
Here’s how to fix it.
Click the wrench icon and navigate to “Settings.” Under the Search section, click “Manage Search Engines” and do the following:
1. Create an alternative Google search option from Other Search Engines (call it Google2 or something), but in the URL section type “https://www.google.com/search?q=%s”
2. Make the new Google option the default option, ensuring that the old identifier still exists.
That’s it.
You can also try this quick fix: Disable the Instant results feature from the Settings panel, under the Search section.
